Talata Home Ghana Limited (“Talata Home,” “we,” or “us”) respects your concerns about privacy and security and has instituted procedures intended to protect and treat personal information about you in a safe and reliable manner. What We Collect and Why
For various reasons, Talata Home may gather information that is provided by you or that relates to you (“Customer Information”). For example, we collect information about you when you visit our website, when you provide it to us over the phone, when you purchase products from us, or when you fill out a web form and send it to us.
Typically, we only collect Customer Information relating to you that is provided to us directly by you. We do not typically collect information from public databases, social media sites, or other third parties.
Generally, we use Customer Information for the purpose for which it was collected, to improve our website, to enhance your online shopping experience, and to respond to your requests and questions. An example of Aggregate Data might be how many people purchased a particular Talata Home product on our website. We are based in Ghana, and we store digital information in Ghana. We retain your Customer Information for as long as reasonably necessary given the purpose for which it was collected and only to further our legitimate interest in such information. With respect to Customer Information that we use for marketing purposes, please know that you always have the right to opt out of receiving electronic versions of marketing materials by clicking “unsubscribe” at the footer of our emails or by contacting us as described below. If you ask to “unsubscribe,” we will retain Customer Information only as needed to ensure that we do not contact you again for marketing purposes.
Text Marketing and Notifications
By providing your phone number during checkout and initiating a purchase, subscribing via our subscription form, or using a keyword, you agree that we may send you text notifications (related to your order, including abandoned cart reminders) and text marketing offers. Text marketing messages will not exceed 30 per month. You acknowledge that consent is not a condition for any purchase.
If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages and notifications, reply with STOP to any mobile message sent from us or use the unsubscribe link provided in any of our messages. You understand and agree that alternative methods of opting out, such as using alternative words or requests, will not be accounted for as a reasonable means of opting out.
